New Flames take the court

The event was the Flames’ first preseason outing as they prepare for their opening game, an exhibition match at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 2 against the University of Chicago at the UIC Pavilion.

Assistant coach Stew Robinson (below right) gets the men’s basketball team pumped up before the Flames take the floor at the annual preseason event.

“We got a group of guys that are hungry,” head coach Howard Moore said. “This group comes to work every day.”

Last year, the Flames advanced to the postseason for the first time since 2004, defeating Chicago State in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.
