Campus buses rerouted for water main break

Eastbound Harrison Street is closed today between Racine and Morgan as city water department crews repair a water main break.

UIC bus service changes include:

Semester Express:  No eastbound stops at BSB Stop N, SRC Stop L and SCE Stop K. Re-routed off Harrison at Racine south to Taylor, then east. Stopping at the southwest corner of Morgan and Taylor and continuing to the stop at SES, then south on Halsted and resuming regular route.

East Shuttle:  No eastbound stops at BSB Stop N, SRC Stop L and SCE Stop K. The east shuttle will turn west on Taylor to Loomis and north to Harrison, then east, stopping at the southwest corner of Racine and Harrison to replace Stop O, then south on Racine to Taylor, then east; stopping at the southwest corner of Morgan and Taylor and continuing to the stop at SES, then to Halsted and resuming regular route.

Evening Commuter:  Stops at Morgan/Harrison and Polk/Halsted will be relocated to the southwest corner of Taylor/Morgan and SES,  respectively.

If repairs continue into the evening, the Intracampus Shuttle will be re-routed as follows:

No service at the east bound stops at BSB Stop N, SRC Stop L, SCE Stop K and SEL Stop AA. Re-route at Taylor and Loomis north on Loomis to Harrison, then east on Harrison to stop at Racine and Harrison replacing Stop O, then southbound on Racine to Taylor, then east; stopping at the southwest corner of Morgan and Taylor and continuing to the stop at SES, then to Halsted and resuming regular route.
