Wanted: dragon boat racers

The UIC Pyro Paddlers compete in the 2012 race in Chinatown.

The UIC Pyro Paddlers dragon boat team will host a social at 4 p.m. April 19 in 200 Addams Hall for interested and veteran paddlers to learn about the sport and get to know each other.

Students, staff, faculty and alumni are invited.

The UIC Pyro Paddlers are looking for participants to race June 8 in St. Charles or July 13 in Chinatown. Paddlers must attend at least two practices.

Though paddling experience is not required, fitness and coordination are a plus.
