The new University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System Mile Square Health Center in Humboldt Park welcomes the community to an open house, featuring tours of the facility and a chance to meet its staff.

The open house is hosted jointly by UI Health and the UIC College of Nursing.

UI Health’s newest Mile Square Health Center, which opened in May, offers OB/GYN services in a fully accessible setting. It also offers primary care for men and women of all ages, in addition to birth control, menopause management and newborn care.
The center is staffed by family nurse practitioners and certified nurse-midwives and is managed in association with UI Health and the UIC College of Nursing.
Mile Square Health Center is a network of federally qualified health centers managed by UI Health and dedicated to providing high-quality, cost-effective, accessible and holistic healthcare that meets the needs of the community. About 23,000 patients are seen at Mile Square clinics, in more than 65,000 visits annually. Mile Square Health Center has 12 locations with primary and specialty care clinics in the Near West Side, South Shore, Back of the Yards, Englewood and Cicero areas; four school-based health centers associated with the UIC School of Public Health; and three clinics managed in association with the UIC College of Nursing.
