Trick or treat?
It’s not much fun, being a kid in the hospital on Halloween, so staff at the Children’s Hospital University of Illinois made a happy holiday for their young patients and families Thursday with a costume parade, party and trick-or-treating.
Medical staff appeared as the Despicable Me minions and small versions of Iron Man, Power Rangers and Minnie Mouse roamed the hall.
“It’s a fun day for kids where they get to dress up, go trick-or-treating and forget about their illness,” said Lindsay Cousins, hospital child life coordinator.
