Morgan Street Bridge coming down

Removal and reconstruction of Morgan Street Bridge over I-290 is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 16.

Due to the lane closures required on I-290 for the removal and reconstruction of the existing bridge, the majority of the work will be performed during the night time and early morning hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Heavy equipment such as crawler backhoe mounted hydraulic breakers, bobcat mounted jack hammers, and diesel powered equipment/dump trucks with backup alarms will be utilized during the scheduled work.

In order to complete the Circle Interchange Project on a timely basis, contractors could work around-the-clock during the weekdays and weekends during the duration of the project.
