Latino film event to benefit student scholarships

The University of Illinois at Chicago’s Latin American and Latino studies program presents “DE PELICULA,” a special film screening fundraiser supporting the program’s student scholarship fund.

DETAILS:

“Hecho en México” (“Made in Mexico”), a 2012 documentary directed by Duncan Bridgeman, features original songs and insights from iconic musical artists and performers of contemporary Mexico. An audience discussion and reception will follow the film.

The event, which is presented in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes, is a fundraiser for the program’s Student Scholarship Fund.
