Biography
Dr. Memoona Hasnain’s work focuses on the intersection of medicine and public health, including advancing health equity and addressing social determinants of health and health disparities by embedding social justice, humanism and empathy as core values in training and practice.
Hasnain spearheaded the development of the College of Medicine’s Patient-centered Medicine Scholars Program, which provides medical students the opportunity to work directly with patients starting in their first year and to get involved with the care of underserved patients identified by local community agencies starting in the second year.
