UIC URBAN HEALTH EARLY OUTREACH SUMMER PROGRAM
The Summer Educational Program is for students entering 5th-12th grade in the academic year 2022-2023.
Since its inception in 1982, the Urban Health Early Outreach Program has introduced hundreds of young people to careers in health sciences. Our pipeline initiatives serve the Chicago Metropolitan area students at many levels, including elementary, middle school, and high school. We are a place of support and counsel for our students in their college years, and beyond.
The program days/dates: Tuesday, July 5-Thursday, August 11.
Classes: Monday – Thursday
Hours of operation: 9 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Extended day: 3 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
The six-week program will consist of classes, workshops and field trips. (Students must be present 25 out of the 28 days to remain in the program.) Please note attendance is a requirement.
COVID-19 requirements:
Students will need to provide proof of vaccination.
Fees: (100% of fees are due at the time of application)
- The cost of the application is $200 for new applicants.
- The cost of the extended day program is $800.
- There are no payment plans for the application fees.
- Discounts for UIC employees, previous participants and multiple children will be applied automatically.
