UIC Global Health Colloquium: The Power of Faces Exhibit Launch and Q&A with Photographers

Date / Time

April 7, 2025

11:00 am - 11:45 am

In observance of World Health Day, please join the UIC School of Public Health’s Global Health Program for the launch of the weeklong photography exhibit “The Power of Faces: A Look at the Global Refugee Crisis” as part of the UIC Global Health Colloquium. The launch of the exhibit will include a Q&A with the photographers. The exhibit launch and Q&A will take place in the UIC School of Public Health Room 132. This event is free and all are welcome.

“The Power of Faces” show displaced people with their inherent beauty, courage, dignity and grace. Importantly, “The Power of Faces” also captures the on-the-ground, oftentimes harsh reality that refugees face every day in refugee camps across Greece, Bangladesh, Mexico and the Ukraine border.

The UIC Global Health Colloquium is a lecture series co-sponsored by the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, School of Public Health, Applied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Social Work.
