The UIC Research Informatics Core is presenting a series of three, one-day hands-on bioinformatics workshops. Common bioinformatics techniques and methods will be reviewed, with an emphasis on practical skills, quality control, and data interpretation.
- Tuesday, March 19th: Introduction to R [REQUIRED for RNA-Seq]
Using R studio on your computer - Tuesday, April 2nd: Introduction to Linux/HPC [REQUIRED for RNA-Seq]
Learning to use High Performance Computing environment (HPC) in Linux
- Tuesday, April 16th: Introduction to RNA-Seq
Build and run an RNA-seq pipeline on HPC resources

Where: College of Medicine Research Building (COMRB) Room 7175
Time: 9 AM to 4.45 PM
Cost: $150/Per Day
Food: Light refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Laptop Requirement: Laptop computer with at least 4GB RAM. Windows, Mac, or Linux, and WiFi.
