See J.I.D and Earthgang at Spark 2024

Spark is UIC’s very own music event, held in the first few weeks of fall semester. It’s free for UIC students, staff and alums.

This year, rapper J.I.D will headline, with openers DJ Moneyca and Earl Hester and the Nasty Boys.

Spark was launched in 2010 as a back-to-school event to bring local, national, little-known and well-known artists to campus. The event offers a mix of entertainment for UIC’s diverse campus community. Find more information about this year’s lineup.

Time: Doors open at 5 p.m. and gates close at 7:30 p.m. sharp.

Location: Harrison Field (located on the corner of Halsted and Harrison streets)

  • A FREE concert for UIC students, staff and alumni to enjoy
  • Food! (available for purchase)
  • Headliner: J.I.D
  • Middle act: Earthgang
  • Openers: DJ Moneyca (UIC Radio’s DJ Battle Winner) and Earl Hester and the Nasty Boys (UIC Radio’s Battle of the Bands Winner)

UIC guest information:

  • UIC students and staff are allowed one guest per i-card.
  • Guests must RSVP through a UIC student or staff registration.
  • Guests must present a valid ID at the door, and the name on the ID must match the registration.
  • No tickets will be sold, and there is no re-entry allowed.
