Noche de Poetas open mic night

Join Mexican Students de Aztlán, Students for Justice in Palestine and Union for Puerto Rican Students with Anakbayan and Indigenous Student Alliance for an open-mic night where you’ll hear amazingly talented poets share their own poetic words on this month’s theme: How culture inspires self-governance.

What does self-governance look like in your culture? How does your hometown affect your cultural identity? What does it mean to be indigenous to a land and how does that contrast with the ways settlers define indigeneity?
