The MSLC is a supportive space designed to empower scholars with diverse identities to thrive in their roles at UIC.
The Multicultural Scholars Learning Community is open to all faculty and advanced graduate students who are interested in receiving professional development, mentorship and support, as well as forming relationships with other diverse colleagues at UIC.
MSLC events will be held three or four times throughout the academic year and will focus on a variety of issues facing multicultural scholars, including balancing research, and departmental service; mentoring students; and dedicating time for writing, among others.
