Please join us for a ZOOM presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m.
As part of our continuing efforts to keep members informed, the UIC State University Annuitants Association (SUAA) Chapter Leadership has organized an informational meeting spotlighting two of our professionals to bring awareness and explanations to this sometimes-forgotten question that can affect retirement benefits.
This is a great opportunity for those of you who have worked in the private sector. Or, if you will have the opportunity to work in the private sector. If you are retired, you might still be uncertain about how these two retirement programs interact. Grab your lunch and join us!
John McCrosky has worked in the defined benefit and defined contribution arena for over 30 years with SIU Carbondale, UIC, SURS, and TIAA-CREF. In his work experience, John has provided valuable insight to individuals to make an intelligent decision regarding retirement.
John Prochaska has worked at UIC and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Roosevelt University, Northeastern Illinois University, and National-Louis University, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and a non-profit medical research foundation. Overall, John’s 30 years of contributions to Social Security provides an excellent example of how his private sector positions impact his SURS pension.
