Heritage Garden Volunteer Day! November 5th

Have you ever wanted to get involved with gardening at UIC?
Learn how UIC Heritage Garden interns are connecting horticulture with environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, and social justice. Activities will vary, but may include watering, weeding, harvesting, pruning, preparing the garden for winter. Be prepared to get your hands dirty, make new friends, learn new skills, and have fun!

These events will be completely outdoors; tools, gloves, and all other gardening materials will be provided. All levels of gardening skills are welcomed.

We recommend attending these events with weather appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. We also advise you to bring your own reusable water bottle.

Ven a disfrutar y trabajar en nuestros jardines. Aprende cómo lxs estudiantes del UIC Heritage Garden conectan la horticultura con la sustentabilidad ambiental, la diversidad cultural y la justicia social. Habrá una variedad de actividad que podrían incluir regar, cultivar, podar, y en general preparar los jardines para el invierno. Prepárate para trabajar con la tierra y con diferentes personas, aprender nuevas destrezas, y divertirte.

Estos eventos serán afuera; las herramientas, guantes y otros materiales los proveeremos nosotrxs. Todos niveles de experiencia son bienvenidos.

Recomendamos a venir con ropa para el frío y zapatos cerrados. También recomendamos traer tu botella de agua reusable.
