Join the UIC Women’s Leadership and Resource Center for a series of two events for undergraduate women students of color to discuss selections from Elaine Welteroth’s book, “More than Enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are (No Matter What They Say),” and engage in conversation about our lived experiences as college students and women of color.
We’ll talk about developing a sense of self and our identities in college, exploring our passions, searching for purpose, and establishing relationships.
You can register for both meetings or just one:
- Tuesday, March 8, 12-1 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 12, 12-1 p.m.
Selected readings are highly encouraged before each meeting, but not mandatory. We will email you info about how to get a copy of the book or the selected chapters.
Facilitated by Priscila Pereira, PhD student in Mathematics and Science Education and graduate assistant at the Women’s Leadership and Resource Center.
CART live captioning will be provided. Please send any questions or access requests to wlrc@uic.edu.
Presented as part of the UIC Wellness Center’s Take Care of Our Flames initiative.
