Come be a fly on the wall of one of the most influential feminist plays of the 20th Century by Cuban-born American playwright, director, and educator María Irene Fornés. Known for its groundbreaking style of conversational realism with moments of absurdism, “Fefu and Her Friends” features a group of women who gather at Fefu’s country house in the 1930s to party, swap ideas and possibly launch a revolution. Audiences will eavesdrop as the women argue, gossip and confess their anxieties and desires in the struggle to navigate a world dominated by men.
