Join us for a Native American Heritage Month film screening of Dawnland, a documentary about “…cultural survival and stolen children: inside the first truth and reconciliation commission for Native Americans. For most of the 20th century, government agents systematically forced Native American children from their homes and placed them with white families. Many children experienced devastating emotional and physical harm by adults who mistreated them and tried to erase their cultural identity.”
The film will be shown in the Richard J. Daley Library in Room 1-470 on Tues., Nov. 12, 2019 at 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. i-card required to enter.
