Adopt a Beach with the Freshwater Lab

September is Alliance for the Great Lakes Adopt a Beach month and the UIC Freshwater Lab will help out by cleaning Ohio Street Beach, collecting and analyzing waste data, and learning about how sound public policy and personal action can maintain the health of our drinking water. Alliance for the Great Lakes staff members will meet with us to discuss the Great Lakes and their work.

The event is part of an exciting curriculum for the Freshwater Lab course (English 440/Public Administration 495). Students are welcome to enroll in the course for this and other transformative water events, but everyone is welcome to join us at the beach! September lake plunge optional.
