2023 3Arts/Bodies of Work Resident Artist Janhavi Khemka and independent curator Pia Singh come together for this presentation on Khemka’s artistic process and lived experience in which the audience will be invited to consider the act of translation. What may be lost and what is communicated while negotiating space in an ableist world? What does it mean to slip between imposed identities like, “disabled,” “marginalized” and “immigrant”? How does Khemka transcend such ineffectual terms and instead attune herself to the possibility of listening to materials she works within?
