Campus News: overrun by plastic bags?
DMV COMES TO UIC
The Illinois Secretary of State mobile unit will be in the Student Center East concourse today, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., to provide driver’s license and state ID renewal and replacement, vehicle stickers, license plates (including UIC plates), disabilities parking placards, written driver’s exams and other services.
OVERRUN BY PLASTIC BAGS?
In honor of America Recycles Day, the Office of Sustainability will hold a special collection of plastic bags and plastic film for recycling Friday.
Drop bags at 150 Paulina Street Building, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, or gather bags in your department and request pick-up.
Accepted plastics include retail shopping bags, case wrap, newspaper bags, dry cleaning bags, and bread and produce bags.
These items are not usually accepted by campus and city recycling programs.

SEASON OF GIVING
Deadline is Nov. 26 to donate to the Campus Charitable Fund Drive — 12 umbrella charities representing more than 2,000 organizations with different philanthropic missions.
Employees can make one-time donations or pledge through ongoing payroll deductions through the state charitable campaign, State and University Employees Combined Appeal.
