Argo Tea opens in Student Center East

Argo Tea, which now has a location on the second floor of Student Center East, sells a variety of teas from around the world.

Argo Tea is open and brewing healthy beverage options for UIC on the second floor of Student Center East.

The tea café brews and sells a variety of loose leaf teas from around the world, including caffeine-free, energizing, fruity and floral teas. The SCE location will also sell fruit bowls and salads.

The café opened June 8, but the grand opening will be held fall semester. The café is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday during the summer.

Argo Tea customers can order their beverage by smartphone app, available for iPhone and Android.

“Customers can order through an Argo Tea app and then go pick it up, which is kind of cool,” said Francine Godwin, marketing director for Campus Auxiliary
