All Hallow’s Eve activities

Halloween - blog photos

Halloween is already here! How will you spend Friday night? If you don’t already have plans and are looking for something to do, I’ve got some recommendations for you. From candy to creepy haunted houses, take my advice and you’re sure to have a ghoulishly good time!

Movies

If you’re anything like me, staying in bundled, under a warm blanket with some good movies and popcorn is the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Festive movies are even better-you’ll definitely be in the holiday spirit with these recommendations!

Scary
The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
1408 (2007)
The Crazies (2010)
Zombieland (2009)
The Strangers (2008)
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
30 Days of Night (2007)
Devil (2010)
You’re Next (2011)
Shutter (2004)

Don’t forget about the classics! Many of those still scare me to this day. You can also totally pick up any season of American Horror Story from Target and watch those. Definitely just as terrifying as any scary movie!

Halloween
The Halloween Tree
(1993)
Hocus Pocus (1993)
Halloweentown (1998)
Mean Girls [it has one Halloween part!] (2004)
Scary Movie (any)
The Amityville Horror (1979 or 2005)
E.T. (1982)

Snacks/Candy

All Halloween candy is great, but there are also some really great snacks you can eat while watching your movies!

Homemade caramel apples (cut up apple, add caramel and any candy/sprinkles you want!)
Caramel corn! (ditch regular popcorn today and have some fall popcorn.)
Halloween trail mix (add pretzels, candy corn, Chex Mix muddy buddies, and Reese’s pieces. Yum!)
Pumpkin cupcakes! (Pumpkin flavored anything, really)

Haunted Houses/events

I’ve been to quite a few haunted houses. Here are my recommendations:

Statesville Haunted Prison
Reaper’s Realm
Six Flags Fright Fest
Ghost Tours

So whether you’re getting out or staying in, have a fantastically frightening holiday!
