Biography
Michael Brown is a professional engineer with more than 30 years of technical and management experience and a demonstrated career history in higher education and medical diagnostics.
His technical areas of experience include the design and development of polymer-based medical devices for point-of-care clinical chemistry and immunology diagnostic testing, including injection molding equipment and process design. He has served as a technical representative for engineering-related extended investigations and U.S. Food and Drug Administration quality system regulation design control procedures.
Brown’s additional work experience includes the design and implementation of solutions and rare reagent processing systems, such as hollow fiber and batch reactor technologies, mixing, static filtration and chromatography, and process utilities. He is familiar with high-throughput manufacturing automation for web-based reagent application and in-line molding automation assembly. He also has been a team leader for an engineering lean manufacturing and cost-reduction program.
