Midway Privatization: The long-term benefits of Midway privatization for passengers and airlines are more important than upfront revenue to the City of Chicago, says Steve Schlickman, executive director of the UIC Urban Transportation Center and a participant in the Chicago Skyway privatization. Changing CAPS: Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy announced that the Chicago Police Department will revamp its CAPS program. Community policing expert Dennis Rosenbaum, UIC professor of criminology, law and justice, can discuss the program’s changes, the police-community relationship, and findings from his independent survey that found more than 80 percent of respondents had positive interactions with members of Chicago’s force.
