CCTS Sexual & Gender Minority Workshop: Research on the Health Disparities of LGBTQIA Populations

The NIH and Institute of Medicine (IOM) have recently designated sexual and gender minorities (SGMs) as a health disparity population and called for more rigorous research with this population. This free workshop is designed to provide an overview of SGM health disparities, as well as discuss measurement issues, recruitment and retention strategies, and ethical considerations in conducting research in this population. Students, post-doctoral researchers and scholars at UIC conducting research specifically on LGBTQIA populations are encouraged to attend.
