White coat ceremony welcomes first-year students

The UIC College of Nursing held its third annual White Coat Ceremony Sept. 10 in Student Center West.

The happy occasion marked the beginning of the journey to becoming a nurse for hundreds of attendees, including undergraduate students as well as graduate students entering the profession at the master’s degree level.

While most will be attending the college’s Chicago campus, several dozen incoming students from the Urbana and Springfield campuses traveled to take part in the ceremony and reception that followed.
