UIC’s 7,600 degrees of happiness

There were cheers, tears and lots of hugs on campus as UIC celebrated commencement with college ceremonies that began with the Honors College May 8 and ended with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on Mother’s Day.

More than 7,600 degrees and certificates were awarded, as well as an honorary degree to  Marian Wright Edelman, founder and president of the Children’s Defense Fund.
