CNC Machine Demo – UIC Library Digital Scholarship Hub

Join us at the Richard J. Daley Library, Digital Scholarship Hub (1st Floor), Room 1-461 on Tues., Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. for a tour of the Hub facility and learn to use the CNC machine that is available to all UIC students, faculty and staff.

CNC Machine – Nomad 833

The CNC ‘computer numerical control’ machines use a subtractive manufacturing process through which a custom design image is cut into a stock piece using computerized machine tools to remove layers of material.

Please note: Capacity is limited inside the Hub and demo will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. UIC community members only. Green Healthcheck and masks required for entry.
