Santosh Saraf

Biography
Dr. Santosh Saraf is the director of the Adult Sickle Cell Center and the medical director of UIC’s Clinical Research Center.
His clinical care and research focuses on understanding kidney disease and developing therapies to prevent acute and chronic complications in patients with sickle cell disease.
Saraf joined the Division of Hematology and Oncology in 2012 and completed a master’s degree in clinical and translational research through the School of Public Health in 2014. He completed his internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology training at UIC.
