Mark Hutchinson, distinguished professor of orthopedics and sports medicine, and UIC head team physician.
Dr. Mark Hutchinson is a distinguished professor of orthopedics and sports medicine and the head team physician for UIC’s athletic teams.
He has been a team physician for the WNBA Chicago Sky, USA Gymnastics, USA Field Hockey, USA Basketball, USA Volleyball, and Team USA, including multiple World University Games, Pan American Games, World Championships, Paralympic Games and Olympic Games.
In addition to assessing and treating injuries and strains sustained by UIC athletes, he sees patients from the Chicago area with knee and shoulder injuries, as well as other sports, work and exercise-related injuries. He is the recipient of multiple best doctor and top doctor awards.
