Biography
Christine Wu has performed extensive research on functional foods — a food or ingredient that affects functions or systems in the body — and how they may influence diseases in the mouth.
Her research group’s studies on foods such as honey, raisins, dried plums and cranberries have greatly contributed to the field of nutrition and functional foods that benefit oral health.
Wu has been a consultant to the FDA and a grant reviewer for the National Institutes of Health.
