Join us as Professor Irma M. Olmedo discusses her recent book, Tales from the Barrio and Beyond, with Professor Frances Aparicio. The book shares stories based on the Puerto Rican migration of her extended family to New York City and the cultural conflicts and adjustments to a new life in the city. Broader issues of migration, cultural change and memory will also be discussed.
