“Building a sustainable health workforce capacity: The AFREhealth Story”

The Center for Global Health is honored to welcome Dr. Elsie Kiguli-Malwadde, president of AFREhealth. Dr. Kiguli-Malwadde is the deputy executive director and director of health workforce and development at the African Centre for Global Health and Social Transformation. She was the director of the Medical Education Partnership Initiative African Coordinating Centre at ACHEST. She is a radiologist and formerly associate professor and head of the radiology department at Makerere University in Uganda. She is a fellow of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, Philadelphia, and a fellow in ultrasound from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. She is the secretary general for The Network Towards Unity for Health. She is the president of the African Forum for Research and Education in Health. She has over 25 years’ experience in health professions education. She has over 70 publications on health professions education and radiology.
