Hispanic Heritage Closing Ceremony

The UIC CHANCE Program would like to invite you to join us as we take a moment to celebrate the Closing of National Hispanic Heritage Month. We are honored to welcome Ms. Maria S. Bocanegra, Commissioner, Illinois Commerce Commission.

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month we are elated to acknowledge the collective pride, accomplishments and strong faith of Hispanics across our nation and beyond. During Hispanic Heritage Month Latinx people across the United States takes time to celebrate their lived experiences, unity, family, personal stories and contributions to a “United Faith that knows no Bounds.” Commissioner Bocanegra will join CHANCE Scholars and the UIC Community-at-Large to share her experiences as a Latinx Leader, Attorney, Commissioner and “first generation” college-student.
