Cancer disparities and inequities continue to impact underserved, vulnerable and minority populations at disproportionate rates. Strategies aimed at improving health outcomes in cancer must address health disparities across multiple levels and be responsive to the needs of communities most at risk. This symposium will highlight innovative research that targets health disparities and inequities at the individual, healthcare, community, and policy levels. Integral to cancer health disparities research are the lived experiences of those impacted by cancer. This symposium offers the opportunity for raculty, students and community members to engage in bidirectional conversations to increase awareness and understanding of how cancer research impacts our communities and the lives of those served, to link faces and stories to cancer data, and to fortify the bridge between bench research and implementation and dissemination science. We hope you will join us!
