Chicago mayoral candidate and Cook County Commissioner Jesús “Chuy” Garcia, political consultant Don Rose, educational policy professor Pauline Lipman and Safer Foundation president Victor Dickson will participate in a panel discussion on inequality in Chicago.
The panel will follow a talk by Andrew Diamond, professor of history and civilization at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, on his new book, City on the Make: Race and Inequality in Chicago. The panel discussion will be moderated by Teresa Córdova, director of UIC’s Great Cities Institute.
This event is part of the Great Cities Institute’s “Poverty to Prosperity” lecture series. It is co-sponsored by the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy.
