Access to health information is an important social determinant of health that is critical to a person’s ability to make informed decisions about their healthcare and actively participate in the shared-decision making process with their medical providers. Health communication provides many opportunities to improve health outcomes among diverse populations when applied using a health equity lens. This presentation will focus on the role of infographics as an effective tool to advance health equity in disseminating complex health information to various audiences.
