Flu Vaccine: Employee Instructions
To help ensure the health and safety of the UIC community, the university is strongly encouraging all faculty and staff who are on campus this fall to be vaccinated for seasonal flu.
Free flu shots for UIC employees and retirees will be offered on campus Oct. 6 and Oct. 26, 2023.
State employees and retirees enrolled in the Quality Care Health Plan or state-sponsored managed care insurance plans are eligible.
Employees must present their state-sponsored health insurance card and i-card. Retirees and survivors must present their state-sponsored health insurance card and state ID or driver’s license.
Flu shots will be administered on the east and west sides of campus:
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 6, Cardinal Room 329, Student Center East.
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26, Thompson Rooms, Student Center West.
These are walk-in clinics; no appointment is necessary.
The free flu shots are sponsored by the UIC College of Pharmacy and the Illinois Department of Central Management Services.
