Robin Ann Jones

Biography
Robin Ann Jones serves as the director and principal investigator of the Great Lakes ADA Center within the Institute on Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois Chicago. She has served in this capacity since the center’s establishment in 1991, after the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Jones is a nationally recognized expert on ADA compliance, having worked in the field of disability policy for over 40 years. She provides training, consultation and technical assistance on the ADA and related laws to businesses, employers, government entities, educational institutions, architects, social service organizations, individuals with disabilities and their families.
Her prior experience includes delivering services directly to individuals with disabilities. Previously, she established and led an independent living center, while also serving as a direct service provider in an occupational therapy assistant role.
Jones serves as an instructor at UIC in the department of disability and human development, exploring the ADA to enhance the quality of information available to assist individuals who are both protected under the ADA or have responsibilities under the law.
