Robert Chirinko

Robert Chirinko’s research delves into a variety of economic and finance topics to study business behavior and inform policy discussions. His work examines how financial markets channel funds to businesses, the factors that drive firms to accumulate machinery and other types of capital, the mechanisms that lead to good corporate governance, how firms respond to the Fed’s interest rate policies and state and federal tax policies and whether public banks enhance economic welfare.

He also has been a visiting scholar at 10 central banks.
