Kim Ricardo

Kim Ricardo is the Lucy Sprague Professor in public interest and associate dean of experiential education at UIC Law. She holds an affiliate faculty position in the gender and women’s studies program at UIC. 

Ricardo is an influential lawyer and scholar with years of expertise in criminal law, legal education, redress and reparations law, and abortion law and policy. She has authored articles on and taught about social movements in the United States relating to race, gender and socioeconomic class. Prior to her law career, she was an actor and performing artist in theater and film.
