David Whelan

David Whelan has spent more than 30 years working at the intersection of law practice and technology, with a deep commitment to expanding access to justice. He writes extensively on information access issues affecting the administration of justice, with a particular focus on making legal information more accessible to individuals navigating legal issues without an attorney. 

In the area of professional competence in law practice and technology, he has spoken widely about how lawyers use technology as a business tool and how they can do so ethically. He is the author of “Practice Law in the Cloud,” “Finding and Managing Legal Information on the Internet” and “Preparing for a Digital Law Practice.”
