Claire Johnson Raba’s research examines how the civil legal system affects low‑income borrowers and communities of color. Her scholarship bridges access to justice, consumer protection, big data and emerging legal technologies, with a focus on improving outcomes for self‑represented litigants in state courts.
A former legal aid attorney, Johnson Raba brings real‑world litigation experience to ongoing national conversations about debt collection, court data and racial equity in the civil justice system.
