Dr. Benjamin Shaw.

Benjamin Shaw is a professor and the division director in community health sciences in UIC’s School of Public Health. His research focuses on social and behavioral determinants of health across the lifespan, with an emphasis on aging populations. He is a fellow in the Gerontological Society of America, and serves on three editorial boards: Journals of Gerontology: Social Sciences, the Journal of Aging and Health and Research on Aging.

Shaw is a co-lead of the Research Education Component of the Center for Health Equity and Cognitive Aging, and the National Institute on Aging-funded Alzheimer’s-related Resource Center for Minority Aging Research. He is also on the Executive Committee of the National Institute on Aging-funded Midwest Roybal Center for Health Promotion and Translation.
