Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony

To mark Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and to honor those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, Student Veterans Affairs is hosting a flag-raising ceremony, followed by a reception with refreshments. Anyone is welcome to attend.

11 a.m. — Welcome remarks and the history of Veterans Day, Associate Director of Student Veterans Affairs and Navy veteran Robert Wolff

11:11 a.m. — Flag lowering and raising ceremony and music performance, UIC Police Honor Guard, Army ROTC, Navy ROTC and UIC PEP Band; Pledge of Allegiance; introduction of honoree and presentation of flag, UIC Police Officer and Army veteran Timothy Williams; recognition of UIC Student veterans in attendance; and closing remarks. Followed by cupcakes and hot cider reception in Student Center East foyer.
