Join us for a discussion on issues surrounding media representation of disability and learn approaches to creating disability-friendly media.
Kennedy Healy (she/her) is a Fat, Queer, Crip Chicago-based writer and consultant. Her work focuses on disability, accessibility, care, sexuality, media representation and abolition. Most recently, she founded Crip Crap, a media company that makes media about disability, by and for disabled people. She is a Libra who loves plants, chicken wings, and feminist country music.
Unlearning Ableism: DCC Discussions is a space for cross-disability solidarity and allyship. All are welcome– whether you identify as disabled, nondisabled, or somewhere in between.
Flyer Image Description: White squares that look like signs hang from coral colored strings against a pale yellow background. Coral and black text has the event information, and there is a Crip Crap logo placed jauntily at an angle.
