UIC SPH Global Health Program Kickoff Event

Please join the UIC School of Public Health’s Global Health Program on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at noon in the UIC School of Public Health, Room 160, for the Global Health Program Kickoff Event. The annual kickoff launches a new year of global health events, activities, opportunities and community at the School of Public Health. The speaker for this year’s kickoff is Babatunde Olowokure, MD, PhD, MBA, associate dean for global health and professor in the UIC Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at the School of Public Health. Dr. Olowokure will present “A Tale of Two Catastrophes: Do We Learn or Do We Repeat?” which explores global lessons learned from public health crises and their implications for the future. All UIC students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome to attend.
