The UIC College of Dentistry’s annual Clinic and Research Day (CRDay) brings together faculty, students and staff to celebrate and share research discoveries. Informative poster sessions highlight the work of at least 120 trainees including dental students, postdoctoral fellows, residents and research associates.
Where: Student Center West, 2nd Floor
Continuing education: Eligible for three continuing education credits
Keynote speaker: Dr. Jacques Nor, dean of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry
Keynote speaker presentation learning objectives:
  • Identify the current scientific evidence supporting the use of dental pulp stem cells for dental tissue regeneration.
  • Compare dental pulp stem cell-based regenerative strategies with conventional treatment approaches for necrotic immature permanent teeth.
  • Recognize key steps in a proposed clinical workflow for the application of dental pulp stem cells in dental pulp regeneration.
Poster presentations learning objectives:
  • Discuss current important research questions in oral science and dentistry.
  • Describe recent findings in basic and clinical research in the oral sciences.
  • Describe new research techniques that are being used to address novel hypotheses in oral health research.
